While most dietitians dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins, restrictions and lists of good and bad foods, we work with clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and discipline. No one diet works for everyone. We will guide you to find the food and lifestyle choices that best support you. We also will help you make gradual, lifelong changes enabling you to reach your current and future health goals. A holistic approachWe practice a holistic approach to nutrition, which means we look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Do lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we look at how all parts of your life affect the whole. No one diet works for everyoneThe concept of bio-individuality is that each person has his or her own nutritional needs. So when the experts say “dairy is good for you” or “fat is unhealthy,” that’s too much of a generalization. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets don’t work in the long run. We look at your age, health, activity level, blood type, metabolic rate and personal preferences to determine your dietary needs.
